In 1984, it changed its direction from conducting ME transparochial seminars solely for the members of radio clubs and civic clubs by reaching out and assisting in the establishment of parish-based ME communities. These communities were also encouraged to reach out to other communities especially in the depressed areas of Sapang Palay, Bulacan, Tondo, Manila, Tala, Novaliches, Quezon City, Pineda and Buwayang Bato, Pasig and in other areas of the Philippines like Dagupan, Baguio, Kalibo, Ozamiz, Bacolod, etc.. Going beyond conducting Marriage Encounter Weekend Seminars, the organization conducted several programs designed to strengthen man’s relationship with God, with other members of his family, his neighbors and the rest of the community especially those materially and spiritually less endowed. |
