Church Forum on Charter Change

Dear mission partners and friends,

Greetings from CBCP-NASSA.

In the past months, voices, statements and issues have been raised by Church and other organizations on the rationale and process of Charter Change and there have also been much analysis on contents and implications of the proposals being considered. However, it seems that the issue has also been quiet for a while and it is time again to revive it to reiterate the importance for the process and implication to be known to various groups, communities and individuals.

In this connection, NASSA, together with RCAM Public Affairs Ministry and CLAMOR, is organizing a Forum on Charter Change as follows:

Date: Thursday, May 24, 2018

Time: 9:00-11:30pm

Venue: 4/F, RCAM, Arzobispado St., Intramuros

Theme: Charter Change: Its impact on Agricultural Sector and Dictatorial implication

We hope the Forum could raise more awareness on proposals and implications of Cha Cha, as well as its relationship with Federalism. The issue on agricultural land being owned by foreigners will be highlighted. The report of Fact Finding Mission in Mindanao, which CLAMOR has joined last month, will also be presented.

Attached is the invitation from CLAMOR and program for more information.

Please feel free to invite your friends, communities, network especially those in Agriculture (farmer, fisherfolk, IP) sectors, as well as others in Labor and other basic sectors, to join and learn more about process, issues, concerns of Charter Change, its implication on Agriculture Sector.

Kindly let me know names/ how many are attending from your group or as individual.

Thanks and see you,
