Peace flowing from the heart of Mother Earth and from the Source of all being!
Our Holy Father has actually declared our current situation as a climate emergency. Through this declaration of Pope Francis, our Loving Creator summons all of us to seriously act now, individually and collectively.
Pope Francis’ encyclical letter, Laudato Si, echoes your great role, our dear young people, in the ongoing ecological and social transformation. Indeed your participation and involvement, in caring for Earth, our Common Home, is very important.
This coming September 20 -27, a Global Climate Strike is being organized in many countries around the world. Here in the Philippines, 350.Org convened various organizations to plan for the participation of Filipino youth in this global event. I have been attending the planning meetings for GCCM-Pilipinas as well as for Laudato Si-Gen-Pilipinas, as the coordinator of its conveners.
Concerning this, I wish to invite you to join these upcoming Global Climate Strike events scheduled on September 20:
(1) Activity: “Klima, Kabataan, Kinabukasan: Youth Action in the Era of Climate Crisis”
This event will be
filled with educational talks and youthful activities!

(2) Activity: YOUnite: The Youth’s Demand for Climate Justice.
In this event, we will be setting a world record by forming
the largest human earth formation ever. Everyone is encouraged to WEAR BLUE for
this event!
