An Invitation to an Advent Gathering and 10th Anniversary Celebration

Religious Discernment Group

Theme: JESUS TODAY: PROPHET AND SHEPHERD|“The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” Jn. 10:11

04 November 2019

To all Lay Faithful:

Greetings!

On December 07, 2019, 8am to 4pm, members of various congregations of women and men Religious will gather at the UST Angelicum College (beside Sto. Domingo Parish in Quezon Avenue, Quezon City) to participate in the annual Advent gathering organized by the Religious Discernment Group (RDG).

The event will also be in celebration of the 10th year anniversary of RDG. The theme of our gathering is:

Jesus Today: Prophet and Shepherd
“The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” Jn.10:11

Being aware of the prevailing situation in our country and our Church, the gathering hopes to renew our missionary commitment in the light of the 500th Year of Christianization of the Philippines and thus come up with concrete response and interventions to the challenges at hand that will reflect our communal prophetic mission. In his prayer intention for the month of October 2019, Pope Francis invites us to pray that “the breath of the Holy Spirit engender a new missionary ‘spring’ in the Church.”

Hence, we are inviting you,  religious congregations, parishes, mandated organizations to the said event.  Enclosed herewith is the program of activities. We are also requesting a registration fee of two hundred pesos (P 200.00) to help meet the logistical needs of the event.

For confirmation, you may get in touch directly to our secretariat through email address religiousdiscernment@gmail.com or mobile number 0996.619.353.

Thank you very much and praying for a favorable reply to our invitation.

Respectfully in the Good Lord,

Fr. Wilfredo Dulay, mdj               Fr. Quirico Pedregosa, Jr., op
