We dedicate ourselves to the mission of living our call to be God’s people of joy – channels of hope and bearers of HIS gospel of peace, justice and salvation. We commit ourselves to the universality of HIS mission. In our service to the Church, we help promote the Kingdom of Christ around the world through evangelization, the building of Christian communities, helping in the promotion of Christian unity, and defending the authentic gospel. We offer ourselves to the work of stemming the tide of evil, especially in Asia where we believe the Lord has called us and our entire nation to be a light in darkness. |

| History |
The name “LIGAYA” was part of the founding prophecy spoken during the July 19 prayer meeting. “And I will give you a name. It will be a very special name, for it is I, the Lord your God, Who will give it to you. It will be the name by which you will be known and by which I will be proclaimed. I, the Lord your God promise this to you.” The participants rose to their feet, asking God to give them the name. The prophetic word continued. “Kayo and Aking Ligaya. Ang Aking Ligaya ay makikilala ng buong bayan, dito sa Pilipinas at sa lahat ng Aking mga tao. Lumigaya kayo, sapagka’t Ako ay inyong Panginoon at minamahal Ko kayo.” From that gathering on, the members called themselves Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon Community. |

The emblem expresses our self-understanding. The Community is represented here by a circle made up of a “C” and a stylized “R,” the “K” and “R” sound in the title “CHRIST.” The Community as a whole manifests Christ here and now, because every Christian community shares in the sacramental nature of the Church. Although in a limited way, the Christian community, too, just like the Church is the Body of Christ on earth. The Community is made up of individual men and women represented by the dots on the left side. The circle is open to signify the Community’s openness to the Lord calls to share our life and our service in the Church. The dove within the seal signifies the source of our common life, the Holy Spirit. In addition, it brings out that the local Christian community is the living temple of the Holy Spirit. |
