We are facing a climate emergency. Right now.
We see how government and business leaders have failed to implement real solutions, and we know what must be done. As people of spirit and faith, we have a moral responsibility to stand up for urgent climate action that is grounded in the values shared by all our traditions: love, justice and compassion.
That’s why GreenFaith is organizing people of faith to leverage their moral and religious power to create grassroots change. We’re answering the call of Greta Thunberg and thousands of youth climate strikers who are walking out of school on September 20th, and asking adults to join them in solidarity at events around the US.
On September 20th, we are going on strike! Let’s Rise together:
→ JOIN THE STRIKE – Will you march with us on September 20th? Find your local Climate Strike event here, and join us next Friday the 20th.
→ BRING A FRIEND – Will you bring members of your community to the strike? We will send you a toolkit to help spread the word among your religious or spiritual community, friends, and family. Help build this movement—together as people of all faiths and spiritualities—all of our voices are needed in this moment.
Next Friday, September 20th, people of spirit and faith will be “praying with our feet”! We will march together to protect the planet and create a more just world. We will show solidarity with the communities suffering the worst effects of Hurricane Dorian, the Amazon rainforest fires, and other extreme weather events around the world. We will be champions for an urgent, worldwide response to the climate emergency that is grounded in our core values: love, justice and compassion.
Join us on September 20th at your local Climate Strike event with thousands of faithful allies, and please bring your friends to take action together. All are welcome.
